What is Open Source Design?

Open Source Software is mostly engineering driven and lacks serious attention to design and user experience in general. Open Source Design (OSD) is a collective to deal with this problem. We are a bunch of open source designers who work and lead community driven projects, travel and speak about the importance of design and user experience in open source software.

My Role in Open Source Design:

I have been a part of OSD almost since it's commencement have given talks about the same at conferences like FOSDEM 2017 (Brussels) and Foss-North 2017 (Gothenberg). In my free time, I work with open source organisations like MoustacheJS, Nextcloud (formally ownCloud) on their design front.

My work usually involves:

Experience Design, Prototyping, User Interface Design, Front-end (React, angular, jQuery, PHP)
